Proposition 8 Decline in Value Request
State law allows the Assessor to temporarily reduce the assessed value of real property in certain cases where the fair
market value is lower than the assessed value. If this may be the situation for real property you own, please contact us immediately.
The Assessor’s Office is no longer accepting Prop 8 requests to review the assessed value for the 2021/22 roll, but will continue to process existing requests until August 14, 2022.
